The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa (subclass 186) is a permanent residency visa for skilled workers who want to work in Australia under one of three streams:
There is a two-step process:
The Temporary Residence Transition stream: This stream is for subclass 457 visa holders who have worked for two years in the same occupation with their nominating employer while holding a subclass 457 visa. The employer should have lodged a valid nomination under the Temporary Residence Transition stream, to offer a permanent position in that occupation.
The Direct Entry stream is for:
The Agreement stream is for skilled workers sponsored by an employer through a labour agreement.
